Free version does not let you encrypt "ZIP", "ARC", "CAB", "ARJ", "TAR" and "GZ"  files. With full version of FineCrypt you can encrypt files of any types. You can double-click a ZIP file inside encrypted archive and it will be opened with the default program associated with ZIP files. Further, you can perform all the usual operations with this ZIP file, like adding files to it, extracting files or even editing files inside this ZIP file which is opened from inside FineCrypt archive.

Enables to provide custom icons for self-extracting archives.

With full version of FineCrypt you can assign your own icon to the self-extracting archives you create. You can either choose from the built-in set of icons in "FineCrypt Extractor", or you can provide your own icon in an ".ICO" file.

Enables to define file type filters for more convenient selecting files.

If you select, say, a filter with "bmp", "jpg" and "gif" extensions, then when you are browsing files on your computer and view folder's contents, you will see only files which have extensions that are defined in the filter (that is you see only "bmp", "jpg" and "gif" files).

Also, applying file type filters is efficient inside "Encrypt" dialog box for quick selecting files for encryption.

When you have selected for encryption directory which contains a large number of files and subdirectories, you can with few mouse clicks remove from the list all the files of unwanted types by applying file type filer.

Enables to add files with one mouse click to existing archives.

If you need to add files or folders to an existing FineCrypt archive, you can do this with just a single mouse click.

You can define any archive encrypted with key as a destination for Quick Encrypt. When you select files or folders and choose "Quickly encrypt to [archive]" FineCrypt will automatically find the appropriate encryption key, encrypt selected files with this key, and add these files to archive which was chosen as a destination.
